Bryce Reeves Announces Candidacy for Republican Nomination of Virginia’s 7th Congressional District

My campaign is about freedom, limited constitutional government and the dignity and worth of every human being.”

FREDERICKSBURG, VA – October 22, 2021 – Today, Senator Bryce Reeves (R- Spotsylvania) announced his candidacy for the Republican nomination of Virginia’s 7th Congressional District. As a proven conservative in the Commonwealth, Senator Reeves is the best candidate to defeat Democrat Abigail Spanberger. Bryce Reeves has fought for conservative policies that put families, veterans, and businesses first.

“Under President Trump our economy was humming, people were working, and government did not dominate or intrude in our lives and livelihood. But under Joe Biden and Abigail Spanberger, an intrusive, progressive government is failing us, badly. Spanberger has failed to make the 7th District what it should be – the best place to work, live, and raise a family,” said Reeves.

“Unfortunately, Congresswoman Spanberger spends far too much time coddling up to Nancy Pelosi and the far left. I believe the hard-working people of the 7th District deserve to be represented by someone who will stand up for their interests and not the interests of Joe Biden, Nancy Pelosi and the tax and spend, cancel culture that is poisoning our education system and destroying our economy.

“My campaign is about freedom, limited constitutional government and the dignity and worth of every human being. As a Christian, a former Army Ranger, and a former police detective, I have dedicated my life to serving others and that is exactly what I will do if the voters give me the honor of serving them in the United States Congress,” Reeves concluded.

Currently serving in his third term in the Virginia Senate, Reeves has a strong conservative record passing legislation and pursuing policies that benefit parents, veterans, and small business owners. Reeves’ record in the Senate shows him to be a strong supporter of the free market economy, defender of the Second Amendment, an ardent supporter of parental rights and school choice and a champion of the right to life.

Bryce Reeves is a small business owner, auxiliary sheriff’s deputy in Culpeper County, former Army Ranger, and former Prince William County narcotics detective. He currently represents the 17th District in the Virginia Senate, which includes the City of Fredericksburg and the Counties of Albemarle (part), Culpeper (part), Louisa (part), Orange, and Spotsylvania (part). Senator Reeves serves on the Senate Committee on Rehabilitation and Social Services and sits on the Committees on Local Government, General Laws and Technology, and Privileges and Elections. In addition, Senator Reeves is the Co-chair of the Virginia General Assembly Military and Veterans Caucus. Senator Reeves resides in Spotsylvania County.
